The character of the building is a standout, revealing its history as an old coaching inn. The on-site bar offers a vivid, local atmosphere, though it could do with more comfortable seating options.
My room overlooked a less-than-pleasing view of the drab rooftop. not exactly postcard material. The noise from a nearby drinking area made sleep elusive, especially on weekends when the volume cranked up. Bathroom fittings in my room were somewhat outdated, which detracted from an otherwise decent stay.
